Souter PR has just completed the Vernon Building Society’s 2016 20-page Annual Review magazine.

It’s the third year that the agency has supported the Stockport-based building society’s marketing team in the development of the publication, which covers its financial performance as well as product, customer, staff and community news.

Souter PR provides project management, copy-writing, editing, proofing and design expertise working with partners Activa Advertising.

Director Sue Souter commented: “Our role is to work with the Vernon to showcase the strongest stories from the last twelve months whilst highlighting its unique ethos, values and close ties with Stockport and its residents.”

The Annual Review is primarily a reporting tool on performance, but the Vernon has always taken the opportunity to enhance the read with interesting and informative stories from across the Society.

Sue again: “The publication is intended to be more than just a performance review and to enjoy a 12-month shelf-life. It gives us great scope to engage readers in a range of other topics. In this edition we focused on everything from cyber-security to apprenticeships, Stockport BID, charity work and wills planning – all of which underpin the Vernon’s core values of care and service.”

Nathaniel Harwood, Marketing Coordinator at the Vernon Building Society, said: “The process was well managed by Souter PR who gave us valued, direct contact with the design team and commissioned much of the photography. The articles are also very good – this year’s leading front-page customer story was brilliant.”
